Carpe Mañana makes eco friendly products from agro industrial waste. We take the residual fibers from mezcal production and turn them into compostable and biodegradable cutlery, and in the process we help clean the fields and rivers of Oaxaca, for future generations.

Our Process
PLAgave™ FOR THE WIN!

We combine PLA (corn starch polymer) with mezcal waste (bagasse) to create our proprietary biodegradable material, PLAgave™, that can be easily substituted into pre-existing manufacturing methods.

By incorporating existing bagasse waste, we have been able to reduce the material cost, creating an extremely versatile product.
We have partnered with some of the largest mezcal producers in Oaxaca. In exchange for cleaning their land of agricultural waste we are guaranteed an abundant supply of raw materials.
Our Blueprint for a Sustainable Future
By removing and repurposing some of the millions of tons of agave bagazzo waste that leach into the ground and pollute the rivers and streams of Oaxaca, Carpe Mañana helps rejuvenate and regrow our environment. For future generations.
